Italy! History, food and great wine (unless you’re pregnant right?). In 2018, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a last-minute Italian getaway while pregnant with our daughter. Fortunate because we almost didn’t go anywhere given our tight schedules and indecisiveness. But I’m happy to report that our babymoon to Venice, Rome and Nerano was better than expected!
Welcome to “Our Caucasian Vacation: Part - 2”. This post will feature the beautiful country of Georgia and the seven days we spent gallivanting through the country. There is so much to see and do and experience. Bookmark this post and consider Georgia for your future travel plans.
Here’s Part 1 of our “Caucasian Vacation” featuring highlights of our time in Armenia, a landlocked country in the Caucasus Mountain Region between Europe and Asia. During our 3-day trip, we visited monasteries, museums, a distillery and market places.
We wandered around, taking in the distinct feel that permeates through Seville. The vibrant tiles, the old and new buildings and structures. The monorail juxtaposed with the sound and smell of horse drawn carriages.

I’ve been to Dubai three times and I’m finally writing about “The City of Gold”. If Abu Dhabi is the United Arab Emirate’s chill, older, mature sibling, Dubai, pronounced Du-bay by Arabs in the region, is that life of the party, turnt-up cousin or younger sibling.
Today, we’re going back to Abu Dhabi. Chris and I visited this country during our first year living in Bahrain. We actually went during the American Independence Day weekend, which happened to be during the Holy Month of Ramadan, our first time experiencing that holiday.
Growing up, I imagined the wise men of Biblical fame were from some lush and breathtaking land. A place where waterfalls crashed into lakes and palm trees danced to a delicious breeze courtesy of the sea.
This is a continuation of my previous post highlighting the first 6 of my top 10 experiences while living in Bahrain. The post is sooo full that I opted to cut it in half. Enjoy!
Back in 2015, Chris and I embarked on our first international adventure as a couple. He received orders for a 2-year assignment in the Persian Gulf and I came along for the ride.
